Bryson Tarbet, M.M.Ed

Bryson Tarbet, a passionate advocate for inclusive music education, transitioned from a career as a PreK-6th grade general music teacher to full-time instructional coach. With a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Master of Music in Music Education with a Kodály emphasis from Capital University, Bryson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his work.


Now the founder of That Music Teacher, LLC, Bryson channels his dedication to music education into sharing diverse perspectives on issues relevant to educators nationwide. He hosts the popular That Music Podcast, catering specifically to elementary music teachers, and spearheads the Elementary Music Summit®, a platform for professional development and community-building.

Carrie Nicholas and Tanya LeJeune

Carrie Nicholas and Tanya LeJeune are both elementary general music teachers in the Jefferson County School District of Colorado. Carrie is currently in her 25th year of teaching and Tanya is in her 31st. Both have received Kodály certification and Masters Degrees from the Colorado Kodály Institute at Colorado State University, where they have also both served on the summer faculty. Tanya and Carrie are active presenters, having shared workshops and sessions for school districts, universities, state and national music education conferences, and Kodály and Orff chapters throughout the United States. Carrie and Tanya co-host the popular music education podcast Music Teacher Coffee Talk.

Melissa Fuller Flores

As a first-generation Filipino-American and military child, Melissa Fuller Flores grew up showcasing Filipino folk dances on Air Force bases. The foundations of how to move to music primed her for a Bachelor’s in Music Education at the University of Alabama, and a Master’s in Clarinet Performance at the University of North Texas. Her career began at the Houston Symphony, where she coordinated concert logistics for over 120,000 students, witnessing the transformative power of music in fostering community and belonging. This experience inspired her to transition into the classroom to be closer to the transformative power of music education.


As a dynamic presenter, Melissa leads workshops nationwide, fueled by her belief that music is a source of peace, empowerment, and transformation. She is committed to empowering educators to create supportive, inclusive environments where every learner can thrive.

Rainy Barton

Rainy Barton is an elementary music teacher by day, a circus instructor by night, and a mom all around! Her mission is to help music teachers create purposeful music curriculum & active music-making in their classrooms, which she does through creating music teacher resources on TPT, and educational videos on her Youtube channel- Whimsically Musical. She is currently certified up to Level II in the Orff-Schulwerk Method, and has been teaching music for ten years!
